About David Miller
Born from experience on both sides of the clubhouse
Golf has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been a member of Fereneze Golf Club in Barrhead for almost 40 years and throughout that time have developed a deep understanding of the game, the people who play it, and the clubs that support it.
As a player, I have been fortunate to enjoy success at club and county level, including becoming a multiple-time Fereneze Golf Club Champion and representing Renfrewshire for more than 20 years. Today, I continue to contribute to the county game as Renfrewshire County Selector, while still occasionally pulling on the county colours when called upon.
Away from the course, I have spent much of my adult life supporting the administration and governance of golf clubs. Having served on club committees since my early twenties, I currently hold the positions of Secretary and Match Secretary at Fereneze Golf Club. During the past three years, the club has experienced significant growth in membership, increased competition participation, stronger bar and catering revenues, and the continued professionalisation of its operations and member services.
My passion for helping golf clubs succeed extends beyond Fereneze. As Honorary Secretary of Renfrewshire Golf Union, I work closely with clubs across the county and have supported a range of committees, boards, secretaries and volunteers in improving governance, operational efficiency and the overall membership experience.
Through Miller Golf Management, I bring together decades of playing, leadership and governance experience to help golf clubs build stronger operations, create better experiences for members, and position themselves for long-term success.
